Guignol's Band
Louis-Ferdinand Céline
November 6, 2022

Crazy, fast, hilarious, insane.

Céline does tone very well... May be one of his secrets, switching from comic to tragic to horror all very eloquently and quickly.

The scene at The Horror's pawnshop is fantastic.

Also, I realize that Céline writes himself sort of like a dog. Doesn't talk much, interested in eating and resting and staying warm... It's a good trick, writing a character like a dog... That's apparently how they wrote Homer Simpson.
